Starting our healing journey just north of Dublin by visiting Newgrange and Knowth (Stone Age monuments) in the Boyne Valley and some of the most important prehistoric sites in Ireland, constructed around 5,200 BC, predating Stonehenge and Giza Pyramids.

Newgrange is best known for the Winter Solstice sunrise , which creeps along the passageway to light up the Inner Chamber when the sun obliges over about 5 days around the winter solstice.  The Rock Art on both the inside and outside of this magnificent monument gives us a glimpse into the world our ancestors inhabited.

We also include the Hill of Tara, a royal site on our itinerary, a place that embodies so many myths and legends.  A site that became very significant during the Iron age and early Christian period even though there are some earlier monuments there too.  It came to prominence as the seat of the High Kings of Ireland.

We continue on to Galway via Uisneach which is the sacred centre of Ireland and enjoy a guided tour on what is now a working farm.  Visiting Aill na Mireann, Lough Lugh, ring forts and holy wells as we feel the palpable power of this sacred place.

In Galway we spend time in the medieval part of the city, enjoying the hustle and bustle, and the market by St Nicholas’s cathedral.  Continuing on to the wilds of Connemara, Kylemore Abbey and Clifden.

We spend our final few days in the lunar landscape of the Burren in County Clare immersing ourselves in the hidden valleys among the limestone rock and searching out pilgrimage sites, dolmens and sacred places of interest.  Throughout this time together we learn to drop deep in to the energy of the land and receive the sacred wisdom and healing these magical places have to offer.
