Connecting with the presence of place
Dia dhuit, I'm Mary O'Halloran, a dedicated therapist from Co. Clare, Ireland. With over 25 years of experience, I intuitively blend various healing modalities to support your unique journey. I draw on my rich background in archaeology, history and genealogy, as well as incorporating mindfulness and meditation into my practice at Solas Chroí.
I am a member of the Independent Tour Guides Association in Ireland and prior to offering my transformative journeys—around Ireland, the UK, Malta and beyond—I worked for the Irish Tourist Board where I gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry. I also studied Archaeology in NUIG and trained in Genealogy and Irish Folklore in UCC.
I am attuned and trained in a multitude of diverse modalities including Bio-Energy Therapy, Rahanni Celestial Healing, Bioresonance Therapy, Transforming Cellular Memory Healing and more, and can help you embark on a path to wellness.
You may notice that throughout my website there are many Irish words. I’ve always had an awareness of our native language and Dúchas. 'Dúchas' translates as heritage or birthright, an innate connection and sense of belonging to our native place.
Growing up in the west of Ireland I was so lucky to be steeped in the appreciation of our history, music, songs and language - especially from my parents. The photo of the High Cross and Monastic site (pictured right) is literally over the fields from where I grew up and holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons.
Both sides of my family have this sense of place, a connection to the Sidhe - the supernatural beings which inhabited the fairy forts of Ireland. We were raised with a deep love of nature and our ancient sites.
You may be wondering what Solas Chroí (pronounced SUHL_uss KREE) means?
My business has always been known as 'Healing Journeys', but as I pondered my roots and my work, the words Solas Chroí came to me. One of the many translations of Solas Chroí which really resonates with me is, ‘The Inner Light of the Heart’ or 'Illumination of the Heart.'
Through the energy work I offer and by guiding people around various sacred sites, I help people rekindle, remember and awaken their heart light. I feel Solas Chroí is the perfect name for my business. Solas Chroí helps us to become fully whole and step into who we are, beings of Light living a human experience.
I’ve had an interest in photography since I was a teenager and in my 20’s I bought my first decent camera. I’ve always had a great passion for taking photos of nature, especially documenting the various archaeological monuments in my native parish.
I also have a huge love for our wild flowers, especially the ones that are only found in the Burren.
I started to notice after a while that I wasn't just taking photos, I was capturing the very essence of the place or plant – that innate frequency they send out into the world. I am using my gifts from the guides and angels to capture that vibration within every photograph.
The frequency held within each photo is healing in itself. So whether it's an individual photo you purchase or photos from my annual calendars, you will be receiving the healing light that radiates from each.
